…the prevailing doctrine — that the appearance of life from dead matter and its evolution through accidental mutation and natural selection to its present forms has involved nothing but the operation of physical law — cannot be regarded as unassailable.

Obama And Israel

The relationship between the USA and Israel is new, distinct, and troubling. A former Israeli ambassador (until 2013) calls Obama “the bully in chief”, tacitly suggesting that bigotry has intruded. See this in particular.

The question is not trivial: why has Obama taken the attitude that Netanyahu is irrational?

The evidence

Compared to Hamas, the Israelis are angelic; compared to the rest of the world, they have interests and needs that are easily tolerated. Should they give up the so-called West Bank to the creation of a “Palestinian” state? They did something very like that when they uprooted Jews who lived in Gaza and turned the area over to the tender mercies of its majority residents. Hamas gained power; that began the tunneling and the firing of missiles onto Israeli towns.

All the land on the earth has been spoken for, and changes in borders will always result in winners and losers. When they abandoned Gaza, the Israelis lost deliberately, hoping for peace. They lost a second time because they had chosen to lose to people who hope and plan for the extermination of Israel.

The evidence Gaza provides is abundant and conclusive: the “two state” solution is a lunatic pacifist’s fantasy.

US politics and prejudice

This commentary reveals a pattern of petty snubs and stubbornness that reflects on The One Leader. Why things have deteriorated to this level is a puzzle.

In the USA, hatred of Jews (do understand the true meaning of the word antisemitism; scroll down to the Item titled “Antisemitism”) is a sentiment borne by too many who are today considered the leaders of and spokesmen for African-Americans. That is a fact many publications are unwilling to validate, or even note.

As a guess, this newsletter expects many if not most black folks have no opinion on the matter. Asking about police officers would get a predictable response, but regarding Jews…?

That said, one can recall some comments made at the time of the Watts Riot (in 1965); those remarks indicated tension between the black population of Los Angeles and a number of Jewish enterprises in and around Watts. That’s a reed far too slender to support credible evidence of widespread, modern Jew-hatred. Not everyone would agree, of course.

Even if broad and deep hatred of Jews could be demonstrated in the African-American communities across the USA, it would be irrational to argue that Obama is therefore a bigot. It has often been pointed out that he is definitely not the product of the mainstream African-American experience.

Accordingly, whether one can determine Obama’s attitude toward Jews is disputed. The very subject is a breach of protocol.

The administration can provide no truthful explanation that describes ethical behavior

Read this letter, and you will understand why this newsletter insists that the Obamites are liars. Iran has what it wants: a clear path to nuclear weapons.

A Subscriber Submits A Proposal That Originated With Warren Buffett

We must support this — pass it on and let’s see whether those idiots understand what people pressure is.

Salary of retired US Presidents: $180,000 for life.

Salary of House/Senate members: $174,000 for life (this is stupid).

Salary of Speaker of the House: $223,500 for life (this is really stupid!).

Salary of Majority/Minority Leaders: $193,400 for life (again, really stupid).

Average salary of a teacher: $40,065.

Average salary of a deployed soldier: $38,000.

Warren Buffet, in a recent interview on CNBC, offered one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling: “I could end the deficit in five minutes,” he said. “You just pass a law that says that any time there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election”.

The 26th Amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only three months and eight days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971 — before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc. Of the twenty-seven amendments to the Constitution, seven took one year or less to become the law of the land — all because of public pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking you to forward this proposal to a minimum of twenty people; in turn ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message.

The Congressional Reform Act of 2015

1. No Tenure — No Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they’re out of office.

2. Congress (past, present, and future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase its own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Members of Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of the Consumer Price Index or 3%.

5. Congress loses its current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present members of Congress are void effective 12/1/15. The American people did not make those contracts with Congress.

Congress made all those contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen-legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), and then go home and go back to work.

This is how you rein in Congress!

Chocolate And Global Warming

1. Many Westerners over thirty years of age are concerned about how fat they are, and a significant number under that age have problems with weight gain. Accordingly, hucksters respond with pseudoscience that parts the public from its money; here is an example.

2. If you believe that fake science only goes after money, look at what has happened to the information the public has about climate. Fame, like money, can be an object of lust. Read The Hockey Stick Illusion, and see how research and the derivation of theory were utterly corrupted. If your local bookstore does not carry the volume, you can get it from Barnes & Noble or Amazon.

Hillary Proposes Unconstitutional Voter Laws

Writing in the Wall Street Journal, David Rivkin Jr. and Elizabeth Foley explain that the federal constitution prohibits Hillary’s bright new ideas for expanding the Democratic base. (The full text is behind a pay wall, but if you want a preview of the article, click here.)

A few salient points: the constitution does not allow Congress to regulate state elections, which is exactly what Hillary wants to do. Congressional elections are partially but significantly beyond federal authority as well — another point Hillary has arrogantly ignored: “…the Elections Clause empowers Congress to regulate how federal elections are held, but not who may vote in them.” That quote comes from Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, a case decided by the federal supreme court in 2013.

George Soros has promised to support attempts to brush the constitution aside: he’s ready to donate five million dollars to the “Progressive” cause. Meanwhile Hillary, though shamelessly ignorant of the fact that her proposals are clearly unconstitutional, babbles on about how she wants to “improve” voter registration.

This is the sort of conspiracism that is precedented, is plausible, and could be verifiable. Accusing the Obamites of it would infuriate “progressives” — for they do understand that demonstrable hypocrisy is politically crippling.

If you recall the names Plame, Libby, and Novak, you remember the fuss over whether Saddam Hussein tried to get uranium from Niger — and whether Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Well, the conviction of Lewis Libby is now under definitive attack. The full truth is complex, according to author Arthur Herman, and a lot of bad things were done as the nation’s elite staged a degrading brawl. You can read Herman’s explanation here. In short: Libby was savaged, justice was mocked by powerful people, the guy who actually outed Plame was ignored, and the truth remained out of reach. — Oh: yes, Iraq was trying to build an atomic bomb, and yes, it had thousands of WMD, though Herman does not mention that (it’s heresy). This absurd, tangled fracas contends with the raid on the Branch Davidians for the distinction of the least principled of Washington’s attempts to control the populace. It was a disgrace from the first.

The USA can’t give up on the jury system — it’s part of the attempt to prevent tyranny. That does not mean that juries are above influence, manipulation, and the reach of a favored class of defendants. Read this graceful composition before you are summoned for jury duty (in the USA).
